Disciplined
Services Awards
The Hong Kong
Disciplined Services Awards are awarded to officers of the six major
disciplined formations, namely Hong Kong Police Force, Fire Services
Department, Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department,
Correctional Services Department and Government Flying Service in
recognition of their exceptional and meritorious service to the
community. There are three types of awards:
Distinguished
Service Medals are awarded to selected disciplined directorate
officers in the six major disciplined formations in recognition
of their exceptional and meritorious service to the community.
Meritorious
Service Medals are awarded to selected disciplined officers
of all ranks of the six major disciplined formations for their valuable
services characterized by resourcefulness and devotion to duty marked
by exceptional ability, merit and exemplary conduct.
Long Service
Medals and Clasps are awarded to disciplined officers in the
six major disciplined formations as well as the Auxiliary Medical
Service and the Civil Aid Service, with exemplary character, and
good conduct who have completed certain years of satisfactory service.
