Inaugural Issue

Welcome to the Hong Kong Disciplined Services Collectibles Newsletter

Are you a collector of Police badges, Fire Department patches, Immigration shields, Customs Officer belt buckles, or items from any of the "Disciplined Services" (Fire, Police, Customs, Immigration, Corrections, Auxiliary Air Force, Government Flying Services, Ambulance Medical Services or Civil Aid Services) or a collector of items from those services which were granted the prefix of "Royal" - such as the "Royal Hong Kong Police"? Then this site is for you.

The Police, Firefighters, Prison Officers and the various other disciplinary personnel of Hong Kong are our everyday heroes. They put their lives on the line in order to keep us safe. Kids, both large and small, dream of becoming policemen, paramedics, pilots, fire fighters and of wearing a uniform. The HKDS Collectibles website aims to preserve the honor and history of all these heroes.

There is a bulletin board for discussions of collectibles and related items and a link to members offering items to trade, sell, barter, buy and swap. Join the fun and visit the HKDSC today! See free patch offer below for new members.

CanineHong Kong Correctional Services Canine Team Statue This collectible from the Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum is a ceramic statue of a prison guard and his riot control dog. (The service uses both riot control and drug dogs of different breeds) The base plate has the words Correctional Services on it in both Chinese characters and Western characters as well as the current HKCS logo in color. The rope that the officer is holding is real (not ceramic).
