The missions of the Hong Kong Fire Service are to extinguish fire, protect life and property in Hong Kong from fire or other calamities, to advise on fire protection measures and fire hazards, to promote public awareness on fire safety and to provide pre-hospital care to the sick and the injured and convey them to hospital. Our aim is to achieve our missions efficiently and effectively.

To be of serve to the public, this Department must be visible and accessible. We have therefore adopted a proactive approach in promoting public awareness and understanding of the work of this Department through a series of community relations programmes. Introduction of this home-page is an initiative in our attempt to reach out to the community we serve.
